About John Hoban Travel
Following his death in 1953, his son Maurice carried on the business. This developed over the years to become one of the largest taxi operators in Cumbria during the 1970s and 1980s.
Maurice’s son, John, joined the Company in 1981 and has worked alongside his wife Allison building a reputation and diversifying the business into one of the leading passenger transport companies in the North West of England.
The Company moved to its present location in 2007. Their son Richard joined the company the same year, keeping the family tradition strong for the future.
Now in the fourth generation, the owners have moved the company to the next stage through the implementation of technology and innovation to help establish them as one of the area’s leading passenger transport companies.
